Annual Meeting & Reception

ANNUAL MEETING

The AHCA annual business meeting is generally held each May on a weekend afternoon to provide the membership with a report of the concluding fiscal year. Open to all members and their guest, highlights include the financial condition of the association, a brief summary on progress of annual goal and programs and presentation of new board members for ratification by the membership. Additionally, there is a social period before and after the meeting.

2021 Annual Meeting

AHCA's 2021 Annual Meeting was held Sunday, May 16. Due to ongoing concerns about public health and the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was a virtual online event, streamed from historic Chateau Bellevue, home of Austin Women's Club. Watch the video below or read about the meeting on the AHCA News Blog.

Special Recognition

In past years, the annual meeting is a time for the membership to meet and have social interaction with the selectees and their families chosen for oral history interviews over the past year. Additionally, the volunteers of the year for the Austin History Center and Austin History Center Association are presented to the membership. A notable guest speaker, at times, might be a feature of the annual meeting. Community leaders and key elected officials of Austin and Travis County can be seen in attendance at many annual meetings of this premier historic association’s key business meeting.
