AHCA is mourning the loss of a friend and former board member, Arnold Garcia, who died Aug. 12 at the age of 73.
Garcia was a supporter of the AHCA and served several years as a member of the Board of Directors, including in 2018-2019 when he served as Second Vice President. Garcia focused his
efforts on the AHCA Oral History Committee and added his own story to the oral history archives in the Austin History Center in 2018.
Before his work with AHCA, though, Garcia was a trailblazing journalist, primarily with the Austin American-Statesman, and U.S. Army veteran.
