In this time of limited access to the Austin History Center Reading Room, portions of the photo archive of the Austin History Center are now easier to see thanks to a brand-new online portal.
Through the AHC's Digital Collections portal you can conduct directed research or just browse photos in the collections. The number of photographs available through the portal is growing and more are being added each month. Plans call for adding more photographs as well as audio/visual materials, including oral histories.
The Austin History Center collects and preserves information about local governments, businesses, residents, institutions, and neighborhoods so that generations to come will have access to our history.
